6 month check up

Well, there's no easy way to say. I failed at reaching my goal of seeing 50 movies by midyear (to a total of 100 for '09). Between a very busy & stressful month at work and trying to move (aka just trying to get my new room ready), I've had very little time to catch up on movies. Actually I'm not too far behind, only a few films from reaching the 50. Now I just need to up my subscription to Netfix, so I can catch up.

On my other goal for the year, to read a book a month. I not only met my goal, but I surpassed it. I'm a couple of books ahead.

Between lots of bad TV, even worse reruns, 5-6 hours per week of podcasts & talk radio, I say I'm doing pretty well on both goals. I'm listing both list. There's some good stuff, some better choices, and plenty of crap. I never said they were all good. Don't pass judge. Bet your list has a few questionable items as well. Just saying...

  1. You're going to have to watch a lot of movies in the next six months. Because you had a big head start for the the first half of the year thanks to Sundance.
